Out of an inspiring brief from Xavier Bas, I found myself wholeheartedly immersed in creating watercolour illustrations for a wine series label called “Vinos Del Paseante” for Codorniu S.A. The five illustrations reflects a core idea about a man’s visual experience while exploring the countryside and observing every detailed scene of flora and wildlife.
To create these illustrations, I combined the scientific style and the naturalistic approach of 17th century paintings, particularly following that of Alexander Marshal, an English entomologist and botanical artist.
